Mannington Floors
Establishing Mannington's Brand Name
Today Mannington, Floors for Easy Living, is the number one floor company in the United States. As Mannington's Account Executive, Ms. Mogul was selected to lead Mannington's first agency account team.
Strategic marketing, advertising and public relations programs implemented under Ms. Mogul's leadership for Mannington included: "The Mannington Award" created to gain widespread awareness with the architect and designer markets; a national TV ad campaign that utilized Juliet Prowse and Ed McMahon as spokesmen for Mannington, designed to gain widespread awareness with consumers; and implemented a press relations program with every possible media contact that could benefit Mannington. Weekly press meetings, visits to Mannington's plants and stores and feature article and photo placement with national publications were an important aspect of the plan.
Other aspects of Ms. Mogul's work included: building, increasing and upgrading Mannington's national dealer/distributor network. This was achieved through a comprehensive public relations program.
ScrippsHealth
Leading the Integrated Marketing Communications of San Diego's Healthcare Leader
As the Director-Marketing, Public Relations and Customer Relations, Ms. Mogul was responsible for integrating the marketing, advertising and community relations activities and budgets of 50 different departments and 15 Scripps facilities, to present Scripps Health as a cohesive, premiere brand of healthcare.
During the course of eight years, she developed a successful internal/external marketing team comprised of Scripps public relations staff, and the resources of two design firms, an advertising agency and a public relations agency. An annual marketing communications plan integrated overall corporate goals into action plans for each facility and department.
Through an internal communication plan, every consumer touch point within the Scripps organization understood their contribution to the organization and responsibility to the consumer.
During her tenure, Scripps managed care enrollment grew to 350,000 people, created the 1-800-SCRIPPS customer service center, created widespread awareness for the services of all Scripps entities, and conducted a government relations program.
Her positive relationships with varied internal and external audiences included legislators, healthcare community leadership, physicians, and donors.
Advanced Targeting Systems
Worldwide Announcement of a Targeted Toxin to Eliminate Chronic Pain
Through a targeted press relations program, stirred up interest and national attention to catapult Advanced Targeting Systems, a biotechology firm, to the next level, financially and scientifically.
This is a case history of how great press relations can create widespread awareness for a very small company with great potential. Dozens of press interviews with the client, Douglas Lappi, were conducted leading to premiere news coverage by key media including Newsweek, Dan Rather's evening newscast, San Diego Business Journal, SCIENCE, and other consumer and scientific press concerning the latest research regarding substance P-saporin.
The ultimate goal of the client was to attract national visibility and awareness with a leading pharmaceutical company and/or potential investor. As a result of the media coverage gained, Advanced Targeting System received eight key leads; plus more than 200 people suffering from chronic pained called ATS requesting to be put on a waiting list to participate in clinical trials (to begin within the next two years).
This type of leadership and marketing communications expertise illustrates how Ms. Mogul's capabilities can work for your company. Additional case histories available upon request.

Who We Are
We derive a great deal of satisfaction from reaching ever new heights for our clients. Our collaborative approach ensures targeted service, low overhead and cost effective management of your project.
How We Work With Clients
PROJECT WORKS is a marketing, public relations and business development firm providing first class service for first class clients and that only in a first class way.
All of our clients receive the personal attention of our senior manager, Leslie Anne Mogul, MBA. For more than 25 years, she has been creating awareness and quality images for many regional, national and international companies and their products and services.
Quality Control
Our primary objective is to develop -- and execute -- creative marketing, electronic commerce and business development programs for clients that sell -- whether it be ideas, products or services.
To make sure that each program is "on target" we hold a regularly scheduled meeting with our clients and the team members. All conversations/correspondence conducted on behalf of our clients is reported promptly in a Client Contact Report -- daily if necessary.
How We Are Compensated
Based on a client's objectives, we design a plan. The plan usually is executed during several months or an on-going monthly program. The billing is derived from two facets: professional services computed on an hourly rate, and out of pocket expenses.
All elements of a marketing, public relations and business development plan are broken down into time elements. We know how long it takes us to create a questionnaire, interview someone, write a press release, design a web site, place a feature story, design a promotion, write a business or strategic plan, execute a test market. Your plan and budget will be designed with this time element.
Out-of-pocket expenses which cover telephone, fax, duplication, postage, printing and other non-company costs are billed separately. Again, we estimate how much these costs will be. Based on the intensity of the project, out-of-pocket expenses may be billed weekly.
If a client requests additional work, or changes the plan after initial implementation, a revised budget may be provided. We require a client's approval in advance for all expenditures. Payment of our monthly retainer is required at the beginning of each month. Out-of-pocket expenses are to be paid promptly when the invoice is received by the client.
